Lewiston, ME- August 1, 2009 - We are excited and pleased to welcome Dr. Ray Mun Loo to our practice. Dr. Loo received his Advanced Diploma in Medical Sciences at International Medical College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Upon completion, he started his medical career by receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alberta. His work experience includes: a rotating internship at the National University Hospital of Malaysia, a volunteer medical doctor at the Sri Jayanti Buddhist Temple, in Selangor, Malaysia, an internal medicine resident at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor, Malaysia, a Pediatric Resident at the National University Hospital of Singapore, in Singapore, completed Pediatric Residency at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, was Chief Resident of NICU at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in October of 2007 – June 2008, in New York, and started a Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology in July 2008 at the Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, in New York, New York.
After a few months of Pediatric GI training, Dr. Loo gained personal insight to his career path. He enjoys caring for children of all ages and came to embrace the role of pediatrician. Dr. Loo is an empathetic and caring individual who has worked diligently to pursue a career in the medical field. Over the course of his medical career, Dr. Loo has treated patients in various settings. All of us at Pediatric Associates of Lewiston believe that his background and his devotion to the medical profession will be very beneficial to our patients, this practice, and area hospitals within the community.
