Pediatric Care for Children and Adolescents
Newborn Care: Congratulations on the birth of your child(ren)! We provide newborn care at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Central Maine Medical Center. We will monitor your baby's health and provide a comprehensive medical exam before you go home. If you do not deliver your children at these hospitals, we will be happy to see your baby after discharge. With all newborns, we like to see them within 10 days of being discharged from the hospital.

Well Child Care: We will continue to evaluate your child's physical, mental and emotional well being during regularly scheduled check-ups. We encourage parents to discuss concerns or questions at these visits. Routine immunizations are also done at this time.
Adolescent Care: Adolescent medicine is an important part of our practice. We provide sports, school, and work physicals. We also provide confidential counseling and services.
Specialized Services: We are trained to identify, evaluate, and manage complex medical conditions for children and adolescents with chronic illness, learning disabilities. We provide a comprehensive asthma open airways education program for children and their families as well.
Laboratory Services: Routine laboratory tests, including strep, hemoglobin, urinalysis, and urine culture are done on a regular basis in our office. We utilize the diagnostic and laboratory services of both St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Central Maine Medical Center.
Emergency Care: Many insurance providers require prior authorization by your child's health care provider for emergency medical services. If your child has a life-threatening emergency, take him or her to the nearest emergency room utilizing emergency medical services ("911") if necessary and notify our office as soon as possible. For other urgent medical care, please call our office so that we may see your child immediately in the office or refer you to the appropriate facility or sub specialist.
Prescriptions: All prescriptions and renewals should be requested during regular office hours. We are unable to provide prescriptions over the phone. Should your child have an adverse reaction to a prescription or over-the-counter medication, please notify us immediately.
